Nothing calms the soul more than the balanced, and luxuriously smooth caramel and dark chocolate in this bar. It's an escape all on it's own. The crisp, smokey dark chocolate provides a delicate layer over the caramel puddle and generously offers a light sweetness that melts like velvet in your mouth. You'll be tempted to eat the entire bar, but one square satisfies my taste buds! The smooth bar does break easily in the center so if you don't want a caramel explosion, use a knife to precisely cut the square. It's tempered well but dark chocolate has a snap unlike milk chocolate. The dark chocolate is intense and of a good quality, not astringent or too bitter, but quite balanced with the sweet and salty combination of caramel. I love the quality of this bar, it's clean ingredients, and source of cocoa. I'll definitely repurchase as part of my self-care arsenal.

The flavor and texture is fabulous! Love it! The difficulty is the periphery of each square is much stronger than the center. We found it impossible to break along the lines and every piece broke in the center leaving exposed caramel. OK if you eat the whole thing!

When it was delivered it had partially melted and cracked and the caramel had oozed out all over the bar and inside wrapper. It's been messy to eat so not so enjoyable. The other bar melted also but wasn't so messy after some time in the fridge.

I really wanted to like this particular Black Salt Caramel chocolate bar. The dark chocolate is very nice, but the caramel leaks out of the bar, causing it to stick to the wrapper, which makes it much harder to enjoy. I had my bars shipped to me and that could be the reason. But, I don't think that I will buy them again.

I purchased these chocolate bars for my mom for Mother's Day because independent studies have shown that Vosges chocolate contains FAR FEWER HEAVY METALS than the other leading brands. My mom stated that they were silky, decadent and delicious! I feel better knowing that she was eating something safer.
